Wrapping up Business in Inez Borin

Continued from Bopping about Inez Borin

Listening to Matthias Kincaid & Theodocius Gi while they chatted at the show, it seemed that they were hoping to be observed... Which seemed odd.

On the way home Roshani Folkor occupied herself trying to reproduce the magic that we saw at the show, to pretty good effect.

I then mentioned to the group about my Patron and the things that I need to do to help him with and gave a little demonstration of my ability. Nocana reacted poorly. Roshani Folkor was curious about what other abilities I received. Yuri seemed pretty dubious about the whole thing.

The following day we awoke and Nocana brought some breakfast as a means of apology for walking out the previous night... Yuri was a little upset that he made breakfast but Nocana brought stuff in anyway. >.<

We took the morning to do some planning. On leaving, Yuri found some of his gang and arranged a meeting with them.

As we walked around town we heard a few interesting rumors from the cryers:

Apparently there is a strange new foe rising in the north, neither beast nor giant, nor humanoid of any kind. It seems elemental powers are attempting to tear down The Bastion.

We went back to the Knaves Nook and asked Greta about the conversation that we witnessed between Theodocius Gi and Matthias Kincaid.

Using some artifacts that Roshani Folkor magicked up, we started spreading some rumors about Matthias Kincaid.

As we were walking about town, Nocana was flagged down by a steward of the Temple of Ioun, who mentioned that he should look into someone named Lumis Boneforge, the mad wizard of The Shystone Pillar.

I disguised myself as Eddard, and went to talk to Pelius Abella in the Historian's Guild to spread some rumors about Matthias Kincaid.

Heading back to the Knaves Nook, we met with Marius who had a note that he had intercepted from Matthias Kincaid that was heading into the slums (Alai territory) that claimed to be written by the Govann's, but obviously was not.

He also mentioned that they're doing a whole lot of digging in their basement, which we knew, but poked our curiosity even more.

We put the pieces together and figured out that Matthias Kincaid was trying to start a war between the different families in Inez Borin. We met with Marta Kincaid and explained all of this to her, specifically that her son was trying to pin all of this on her, which was enough information for her to consider the contract closed and cut ties with her son.

Flush with cash then, we did a bit of shopping and packed everything up before leaving town.

We left town heading the same direction we previously did, which happened to be the direction of both the Shystone Pillar and Klayt. Staying at the same inn for the night, we left Rowan with our stuff at the inn and went to find Klayt Varie. She mentioned that she had the memory of whatever she did removed, but she kept a journal that let her know that she should expect trouble. A fight ensued and we were victorious.
