Continued from Trouble in Newsam

Nocana reacted immediately, calling on some sort of diving magic to bolster all of us for the battle ahead.

Roshani Folkor tossed something into the hallway outside of the dining room greasing the floor, right where one of the enemies had busted through a window, the person at the window slipped and fell prone.

Suddenly, coming in through the main entrance of the building is the man who ran away from the house fire instead of helping! (Marius)

I hopped over the dining table, avoiding the grease in the hallway, I drove my dagger into the man on the floor, killing him.

Yuri also jumped over the table heading towards Marius to engage him.

More enemies flooded the house, and arrows entered through windows, as we held our defense. Trading blows back and forth, picking off the enemies one-by-one, until finally Marius made his escape.

I hopped out one of the windows that an arrow previously flew in, killing the man that shot it, but realizing that there was another archer out there. Seeing that his cause was lost, he begged for his life. Deciding to try to get some information from him, I threw him into the house where we could question him as a group. Unfortunately he didn't really have any information for us that we pretty much couldn't guess already: Marius hired a crew to kill Alyson Kincaid. No real surprise.

We decided that it'd be best if we left, taking Alyson Kincaid to Inez Borin in the morning to get out of this town.

First thing in the morning a couple of us went to the market and purchased supplies, then we hit the road.

While traveling we had conversation and got to know each other a little better.

Eventually we decided that we should find a place to set up camp for the night and decided to travel off the road, doing our best to cover our tracks.

During Nocana's watch in the night he spotted someone in the distance and nudged me awake. I snuck out of camp to see if I could figure anything out about them.

It turns out that it was Marius and I was able to sneak up on him. He wasn't willing to go quietly with me back to camp, so I created an illusion of fire back up the hill to signal to Nocana and the others and I engaged in combat.

Marius once again tried to flee but through a couple of tricks and illusions, we all were able to catch up with him and subdue him, bringing him back to camp unconscious.
