Iliseth

Iliseth is a desert city state in the middle of Gaia's Crest. It was founded about 3500 years ago to take advantage of the local salt deposits.

Location

The city is nestled against Mount Amaunator to the west, and a man-made lake to the south with walls surrounding the rest. The palace, main temple, mages college and engineering college are built into the side the mountain and extend inside. The rest of the city sprawls to the west.

Social

Iliseth is somewhat of a conservative city and is not especially welcoming to outsiders.

History

Iliseth was third city state founded, after Dungall and Dunzene.

Around year 243 (65 years ago), the current king of Iliseth (King Calon Imperatore) was exiled. He regained power around year 268 and was at the forefront of emancipating the slaves in the seven city states of Pineme.
