Continuing into Inez Borin

Continued from Leaving Newsam.

Getting Marius back to the camp we set about interrogating him.

He refused to give up any information about his employer, but aside from that was reasonably helpful. We found that he had a magic box and candle used to communicate with his employer. On finding that out we had him create a couple of letters for us to send to his employer, the first letting them know that everything is fine, though progressing slower than expected, the second mentioning that the contract (killing Alyson Kincaid) has been fulfilled.

We pulled him along with us as we continued to Inez Borin.

I chatted with Alyson Kincaid about Inez Borin as we traveled.

We took all of Marius' gear and set him lose.

On the road we met an elf that flagged us down... He appeared to be a beggar/fisherman, missing some fingers, and legitimately needy. He'd had a hard time in the city and been maimed. We gave him some alms and he let us know that there were goblin's in the road up ahead.

Once again it was decided that I would scout ahead, and unfortunately (as expected, at this point?), that went poorly... I somehow was completely unable to scout out the goblins and instead found myself right on top of them being attacked.

I ran away and managed to hide, throwing an illusion to distract some of the goblin's worgs and I eventually made it back to the group.

Deciding to face the goblins head on, the party went forward, hiding Alyson Kincaid in the cart, head down to try to keep her safe.

It was a decently tough fight, but thankfully, Glory Fallhammer had some healing that he could throw at Nocana and we were victorious.

We still had about a day's travel into Inez Borin!
