- We take a long rest in the side of the ravine in the Royal Respite
- in the morning, we look for the horse that had fallen
- I analyze that it would take 8 hours to fix, but I fix it in 5 hours (?)
- we continue on our way and meet up with a large lake - at least 10 miles wide
- Akashim flies up and sees more water to the west, but a river flowing in to the south, so we head that direction
- there's a magical mist around the waterfall (conjuration) that is obscuring things
- we eventually find a path to a cave near the waterfall
- there are animal tracks to the cave
- the cave turns out to be a tunnel, and we muffle the sounds of the horses
- we see a light at the end of the tunnel, and hear a voice asking us to come in
- there is a cavern with 3 giant huts
- a giant 26' tall woman with teal hair (Storm Giant), a 18' tall Stone Giant, and 2 direwolves
- they are friendly and refer to themselves as the Quintessence
- they describe the Elemental Force coming from and constructing a Labyrinthine City
- it's an aberration on the land
- the city is possibly built from castle spells?
- the city started in the mountains to the southwest
- it's a huge fortress and they are enslaving giants with mind spells to build it
- not all are directly controlled via magic, but they under threat of control
- it's about 3 days around the lake
- there's an encampment of giants 2 days away (as the Roc flies) and 1 more day further to the wall
- the terrain between where and there is: marsh, swamp, and deadlands
- we tell them about Lumis and King Djodian force approaching, and they send out a message to them
- we dream at night, though only Crephi caught someone watching the dreams
- in the morning, we see that the giants are brewing something
- they tell us that they judged us well
- and they offer us a Covenant Bond if we drink
