Quick jaunt through the Plane of Earth

Entrada
- We are able to communicate with the Zorn (via Helm of Telepathy and Comprehend Languages)
- We go through the portal to what we learn is the Plane of Earth
- It's colder and there's less oxygen
- the tunnels are part of a natural cave system
- where there is an opening to the outside
- it's all rocky valleys and mountains
- no clouds or shadows (or sun?)
- About 50 minutes in, we hear metal on stone sounds and a slope down to the edge of a cliff
- beyond is a large, pitch black cavern
- it's over 300' across (beyond Nocana's darkvision) and 1200' to the bottom
- we put up the Royal Respite and the chamber ends up being rough hune and not the usual royal chamber with our horses
- Crephi scouts out the chamber
- couple dozen gray dwarf-like creatures digging
- Zorn are interacting with them
- there's a large dark humanoid (later determined to be a Dao) with flowing robes, a large hammer, and a stone mask
- a translucent elemental comes and picks up a satchel and flies off again
- We all make our way down there
- At the bottom
- We hear the creatures speak a dwarfish dialect and undercommon
- We attempt to sneak around the edge, but we are heard by a group of mining dwarfs
- they are neutral, but become more interested after Nocana gives them candy
- we learn that they give diamonds to the ghosts (what they call the elemental) days ago
- My fire elemental side feels repulsed when I hear them talk about the Dao (also known as feeders to the dwarfs).
- The foreman approaches with 6 dwarfs (3 who turn invisible)
- He mentions that the Dao knows what the elemental want/where they go
- The Dao isn't pleased with us, but in exchange for us leaving immediately, shows us where the elemental comes from
- We go through the tunnels, and stop to listen and put up an alarm for the next elemental at the first branch in the tunnels
- the elemental that comes through is translucent and seemingly ignorant of us
- they come through, and then go back carrying a satchel
- we are able to follow them to the portal back to the material plane.
- We do a long rest (?) before going through, and then make our way back
- At the material plane's tunnel exit, there are two Elemental Constructs ("Vitriolic Sphere" and "Call Lightening")
- It's a bit of a tough fight as we are unable to sneak past
- Nocana banishes the lightning creature and we are able to defeat the other
- We see a tower in the distance that appears to have gears and mechanisms.
